Lady with honey wax shoulderhead tilted to the side, with downcast eyes, closed mouth, armature body covered by attached silk costume with elaborate embroidered and silk beaded ornaments, coronet and floor-length veil, wax hands, holding a small wax taufling baby with beaded costume. The dolls are presented under original glass dome on ebony base. Good condition, there is wear to silk of costume. Early 1800s.

The leather-handled sheet-metal box-shaped coach car with original brown paint has two windows, and a third painted panel window with train car number A756. The exterior has gold lettering "Playskool Pullman Sleep - Dolly - Sleep", and the back hinges open to reveal the car interior with curtains, padded seats, table, bed, and closet with extra blankets. Playskool, designed in the late 1920s by a former school teacher, Lucille King, the Pullman Car was designed for a child to carry on a real train trip; it was made for only a short period of time. Near mint condition of the rare toy.

37" Very Rare Shirley Temple at the Organ Presentation. $1300/1800

37" (94 cm.) h. 16"w, 19"d. 16" doll. Shirley Temple doll with composition head, torso, arms and lower legs, original firmly stuffed muslin legs in bent seated pose, sleep flirty eyes, lashes, four teeth, blonde mohair curls, embedded screws in hands designed to accommodate to fittings in the faux-organ is seated at a wooden faux-organ with tall gilt pipes and double tiers of piano keys, and with an open back with record player. When the organ is plugged in, the doll sweeps her hands across the keys and the candle alight. Overall very good condition, original musical device is intact but uncertain if working (re-wiring recommended), later added musical device functions, organ has original finish. The very rare presentation piece was manufactured by Pipe Organ Doll Display of Fairfield, Maine, and promoted by Ideal which exhibited the piece in their New York show room during the 1930s; few are known to exist. Included is a photograph in the previous owner’s home showing the organ; the photograph is autographed by Shirley Temple Black.
